DESCRIPTION OF THE CAREER

Those interested in studying the Career of Business Management will have the opportunity to specialize in Business Administration or Economics. There is a common plan the first three semesters of the career, and then students will be able to decide for the specialty of their choice. Students who have chosen to major in Business Administration will remain bound to the Administration Department, while students who have chosen to major in Economics will depend on the Department of Economics. The career lasts 10 semesters taking place in daytime.

ACADEMIC DEGREE AND PROFESSIONAL TITLE

 

Academic Degree: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Professional Title: Business Manager in Business Administration.

 

 

WORK FIELD

The professionals will be trained to work in any competitive business: companies producing goods and services, where they can perform executive tasks and as directors of departments or join education departments, especially in the financial, commercial and human resources areas; organizations, and other systems. They may also join universities, research centers and government bodies. In the private practice of the profession, they can serve as a business consultant and as entrepreneur, directing their actions to the search and generation of business.

 

ADMISSION PROFILE

 

For applicants who hold a professional degree in Audit Accountant; Execution Engineer in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Public Administrator and professionals in related careers which have a minimum curriculum of 4 years. Program Duration 5 semesters on average, subject to validation of subjects.

For applicants who are in possession of the professional title of senior technician of a career related to business administration (Administration, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Foreign Trade). Program Duration 7 semesters on average, subject to validation of subjects.

GRADUATE PROFILE

 

Our graduates will serve in the administration and management of any organization.They will be able to work at direction, management and executive levels in the areas of marketing, finance, human resources in production and service companies.Likewise, they will be able to carry out arrangements for entrepreneurship, business consulting and academic activities.

 

The graduate of Business Management in Business Administration from the University of Santiago de Chile has knowledge in the areas of management and strategy, economics, finance and accounting, marketing, human resources, operations, information technology and law. Also their knowledge includes instrumental support areas related to quantitative methods and English. 

The graduate professional from Business Management in Business Administration from the University of Santiago de Chile has the following abilities and professional skills upon graduation:

TUITION

 
2014 Annual Fee: CLP $ 3.644.500 (Chilean pesos). - year, paid in 10 installments.
2014 Registration Fee: 2 basic fees of CLP $ 60.000 (Chilean pesos)
Application for Continuation of Studies: CLP $ 37.000 (Chilean pesos)
Validation of Units: CLP $ 5.000 (Chilean pesos) (per unit validated).
 

BACKGROUND AND DEADLINE TO APPLY

 

People who hold a professional degree related to the career of Business Management in Business Administration obtained from any institution of higher education may apply by filing an application in Correspondence Office of the Faculty of Management and Economics of this University, at least enclosing the original title certificate and a notarized and legalized copy (the original is returned), grade transcript (curricula, if required) and resume.

Application deadline:

  • First semester. Until January 15
  • Second semester. Until July 31
